~ "A Ladies' Diary" ~ Storage Drawers

This past Fall our girl's scrappin' group went on a 4-day retreat and this is one of the items we all chose to make together.
This is my second Kaisercraft Mini Storage Drawer set and I have to say that I really do enjoy making these as gifts.
This one is mine and I decided to use the "A Ladies' Diary" papers from Graphic 45.
 The TOP
 The LEFT SIDE
 The RIGHT SIDE
 The BACK
And a few close up shots of the drawers.

These are super easy to put together and make lovely gifts.  They come as a kit and all you have to do is glue the wooden frame together, paint it and then put the chipboard boxes together and decorate them.
It's a great project to do with friends as you can share all the embellishments and have a ton of fun!

Cookie Cutter Christmas Ornaments

I found these metal cookie cutters in my local Superstore for $1 each and this is what I have created with them... cute Christmas ornaments.
I traced each one around some old music note paper, then cut them out.
Used my Cropodile to make a hole in the top to thread the ribbon through and also on the bottom of each ornament so I could hang a bobble.
Glued the front of each music page and sprinkled Tim Holtz Distress Stickles Dry Glitter on top.
I decorated each piece of paper before gluing them onto the cookie cutters.
Makes it easier to design each one.
Here are the finished products.... just love them and they are so darn easy to make.

Pretty n' Pink

Everyone knows that my favourite color is ~PINK~ and this year, for my birthday, my friend Maureen gave me a bag full of goodies - all pink.  I couldn't wait to put most of them to use...
So I bought these glass ornaments from Michaels and just started to create... and this is what I came up with!
I filled the ornaments with Melissa Frances pink mica flakes,
some white frosty snow flakes and white glitter.
This one is for my daughter Meagan, who loves the color pink as much as I do!
I'm going back to the store to buy more ornaments.... I just love making these!

The Season of Giving

December 1st..... DAY 1 of the advent calendar and the "Season of Giving" Giveaway...... This year I made my own calendar instead of buying those $2 cardboard ones in the store.
An advent calendar is a special calendar used to count or celebrate the days in anticipation of Christmas and we have always had one in our home.
I made these from the Kaisercraft kits that are so popular.  I put them together last summer so that I was able to spray paint them outside.
This one was made for my daughter using Graphic 45's "Nutcracker Sweet" paper collection.  Since the age of 5 my daughter and my Mother have attended the Nutcracker Ballet performance every December so this one brings special meaning to Meagan.
And.... A couple of close-ups....

And because I loved this paper the minute I laid eyes on it..... this one is for me.  Made with the Pion Christmas collection from 2011.
And.... A couple of close-ups....

I hope all of you have a chance to enjoy an advent calendar and open a small box filled with a sentiment or a treat for the 24 days leading up to Christmas.

And now for the GIVEAWAY.......

This year has been very successful for Sun 7 Designs and as a way to say thank you to all of my customers I am having another giveaway - the last giveaway for 2012.
I would not be where I am today without the support of my friends and family... but most of all... without the support of my fantastic customers.
So.... to say thank you to all of you I am having a giveaway for one of my blankets.
This blanket is 20"x24" and has pink minkee flat on one side and white Minkee dot on the embroidered side.  Perfect for the little princess in your life or to give as a gift to someone special.
Just become a "follower" of my blog (if you are not one already) AND "like" my Facebook page.  Leave me a comment letting me know you have done this.... either on this post or on my Facebook page, and your name will be entered into the draw.
I will draw on December 10th, just in time for you to have this as a Christmas gift.
Thank you again to all my supporters and best wishes to all of you for a wonderful holiday season.
